Hi, my name is Jaël and I will be your instructor during this survival / bootcamp.
Before we get into the more technical details about me, I would like to introduce myself a little.
I was born as the son of a Slavic woman and a Dutch man who came from a farmers family up in the north of the Netherlands. During my years as a kid I played most of the time outside, running through the meadows, climbing in the trees etc.
Nowadays I am working as a self-employed coach and trainer for corporates in the sales department.
I live less than half an hour from Amsterdam city centre and love spending time there.
I’m a sportive guy that has a big interest in (under)watersports and activities. Right now I am learning how to surf and some years before I got my PADI Divemaster certificate.
My experiences I mostly got through the boy scout camps in which I participated and later also organized. Something in me is always wondering if it is possible to do it “more” extreme then it already is, probably that is the reason that I started to do bushcrafting and survivaling.
From personal perspective I can say that I am very happy with that quality, on the otherhand, it brought me also in unnecessary problems that I had to solve in a creative way.
So a gentle advice from my side, don’t try to reinvent the wheel all the time by yourself if others already found out what works and what doesn’t.
I love to see you in our bootcamp!
